Gli ultrasuoni microfocalizzati, modalità di utilizzo pratico e casi clinici
Gli ultrasuoni microfocalizzati (MFU/IFU) sono stati di recente introdotti come nuova modalità di energia capace di trattare in modo non invasivo la lassità cutanea del viso, collo, decolleté. Energia acustica focalizzata, convertita in calore in profondità nel derma reticolare, nel sottocutaneo e nei piani fasciali muscolari (SMAS), determina denaturazione e nuova sintesi del collagene con effetto finale di tightening e lifting cutaneo. Le caratteristiche distintive fisiche e terapeutiche degli MFU vengono rapportate a quelle di altre tecnologie non invasive quali radiofrequenza, laser CO2 ablativi frazionali e laser non ablativi. E’fornita una guida pratica all’uso del sistema MFU impiegato, integrato dalla ecografia, fondamentale per la sicurezza e la efficacia del trattamento. Completa il lavoro una rassegna di casi clinici trattati.

Microfocused Ultrasound, Practical Usage Modes and Techniques and Clinical Cases
Microfocused ultrasound (MFU/IFU) has recently been introduced as a novel energy which works as a non-invasive treatment to contrast skin laxity in the facial, neck and décolleté areas. This acoustic focused energy converted into heat in the depths of the reticular dermis, of the subcutaneous tissue, and in the intradermal fascial muscle tissues (SMAS), leads to the denaturation of collagen and new synthesis, with a final tightening and lifting skin toning effect. The distinctive physical and therapeutic characteristics of MFU are compared with those of other non-invasive technologies such as radiofrequency, ablative fractional laser with carbon dioxide and non-ablative laser. The present provides a practical user’s guide for the MFU system employed, which must be integrated by the real- time ultrasound imaging; the latter is fundamental to ensure safety and effectiveness of the treatment. A review of clinical cases completes the present study.
