MINISTERIAL RECOGNITION
Pursuant to Article 5 of Law No. 8 March 2017 and Ministerial Decree No. 2 August 2017, the Ministry of Health has included Agorà AMIEST – the Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicine, active in the development and training of Aesthetic Medicine since 1984, among the entities authorized and authorized to issue guidelines for Aesthetic Medicine, which doctors and other professionals in the sector must adhere to in practicing their profession.
PURPOSE OF THE SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY
PRACTICE OF AESTHETIC MEDICINE
Agorà aims to bring together in an association doctors who practice Aesthetic Medicine, as a preventative and social medicine whose primary goal is the psycho-physical well-being of the individual, in order to ensure their reliability and safety through the ongoing work carried out by the Scientific Society.
PROCESS,
UPDATE AND DEVELOPMENT
To bring together in an Association all those interested in scientific progress, updating, development and diffusion of Aesthetic Medicine and related or otherwise connected disciplines, as well as the bodies interested in its promotion and its applications.
EDUCATIONAL, TRAINING AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
To bring together in an Association all those interested in scientific progress, updating, development and diffusion of Aesthetic Medicine and related or otherwise connected disciplines, as well as the bodies interested in its promotion and its applications.
RESEARCH AND STUDIES
Promote research and studies aimed at contributing to the scientific development of Aesthetic Medicine, related and complementary disciplines, as well as its applications, including through study, research, and consultancy groups established by the Scientific Society to ensure the safety of the discipline.
INSTITUTIONAL ACTIVITY
To act as a qualified partner with national institutions, as well as with European and international community bodies, in order to make scientific knowledge and the experience of specialists available to continuously improve public health, also in collaboration with other scientific societies.
ESTABLISHMENT OF THE LIST OF AESTHETIC DOCTORS
Create a list of Aesthetic Doctors who graduated from the Post-University School of Aesthetic Medicine at Agorà-Amiest or from schools with at least four years of experience promoted by Scientific Societies, provided they are qualified according to specific criteria and share the statutory purpose of the Scientific Society.
GUIDELINES
Develop study trials related to the discipline, guidelines for the practice of Aesthetic Medicine pursuant to Law No. 24/2017, informed consent forms, and anything else related to scientific progress in the field, also in collaboration with FISM - Italian Federation of Medical Scientific Societies or other designated societies.
TERRITORIAL WORKING GROUPS AND DELEGATES
Create local working groups and appoint Regional Delegates throughout the country to disseminate the Society's criteria and objectives. International Delegates may also be elected to promote Aesthetic Medicine according to the Italian concept, relating to the prevention and treatment of related pathologies.

Any graduate in Medicine and Surgery can join Agorà (Ordinary Member).
Those who have obtained a diploma from Aesthetic Medicine Schools recognized by EFAMS* will be able to join under the Qualified Member category.
