The reports forwarded do not exempt operators and third parties from their obligations relating to pharmacovigilance, device surveillance and reporting to the authorities.

Reporting an event is a very useful service for the protection of both the patient and the professional, as it can help prevent risks caused by similar future events.
While reporting is a valuable and useful tool for doctors, it does not pose any threat to the practitioner, who is in no way held responsible for the complication.
It is a report of the event, not of the Doctor.
