COURSE OBJECTIVE
Agorà - Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicina strongly believes in the value of interdisciplinary collaboration among healthcare professionals and considers dialogue between aesthetic physicians and pharmacists a key element in ensuring increasingly informed, safe, and effective patient care.
With this perspective, a training program has been developed specifically for pharmacists, with the aim of providing knowledge and practical tools to better understand the field of aesthetic medicine and to promote, where competencies allow, a concrete and qualified synergy with aesthetic physicians.
Thanks to their scientific background and their role as a trusted healthcare reference for patients, pharmacists can significantly contribute to supporting aesthetic medical treatments, managing therapies, preventing complications, and educating patients.
This first edition represents an introductory pathway to aesthetic medicine, designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the discipline: from fundamental principles and the main treatments and technologies, to cosmetology, dermocosmetics, and the role of compounded (galenic) preparations. Special attention is given to pharmacological interactions, safety, and the personalization of treatment pathways.
It is a foundational educational step that lays the groundwork for future in-depth training and the development of increasingly structured collaborative models.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The course is intended for pharmacists who wish to expand their expertise and explore professional opportunities arising from collaboration with aesthetic physicians.
It is designed for professionals seeking to deepen their role within aesthetic medicine by gaining a more comprehensive and integrated understanding of the discipline—useful both in daily pharmacy practice and in relationships with patients and other healthcare professionals.
