Agorà - Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicine has launched "Aesthetic Medicine – Instructions for Use" , an awareness campaign aimed at promoting responsible and informed behavior in the field of aesthetic medicine.
In a constantly expanding and increasingly popular field like aesthetic medicine, it is essential to provide patients with clear, accessible, and reliable information to guide their decisions confidently.
GOALS
FROM THE
COUNTRYSIDE
Our initiative pursues two complementary goals:
Protect the safety and health of patients through concrete guidelines on the correct behaviors to adopt before, during and after aesthetic medicine treatments.
Counteract the trivialization of aesthetic medicine and professional abuse, worryingly growing phenomena that compromise both the quality of services and the image of the entire sector.

The campaign stands out for its innovative communication format that visually recalls
the drug information leaflet ( “Instructions for use” and “Read carefully” ).
This reminder is intended to underline how aesthetic medicine treatments, like taking any medication, always require attention and awareness.
The slogan "Your safety also depends on you" emphasizes the shared responsibility between patient and doctor in ensuring the safety of medical treatment.
The visual style of the campaign is inspired by the language of conceptual artist Barbara Kruger , known for her works that combine black and white images with impactful overlays of slogans, often using the color red.

The first segment, already published, is dedicated to the crucial topic of choosing a doctor and the importance of the preliminary medical examination.
The first publication highlights some behaviors that patients should adopt for a conscious and safe approach to aesthetic medicine.
In future publications, the main aesthetic medicine treatments will be explored in greater depth.
The campaign's contents offer a reliable guide to navigating the world of aesthetic medicine.

always pay attention
to these elements:
1. Make sure you are seeing a doctor, checking that they are registered with the local Order of Surgeons and Dentists.
2. Verify the training in aesthetic medicine, ensuring that the doctor has specific and comprehensive training in aesthetic medicine
3. Verify that treatments are performed exclusively in healthcare environments, compliant with local regulations
4. Be wary of anyone who offers medical treatments without a thorough preliminary examination: the examination and any diagnostic tests are essential for any diagnosis and for the formulation of a personalized treatment plan.
5. Demand to receive all information on the clinical condition and the proposed therapeutic path: the patient always has the right to be informed, to ask questions, to express doubts and to decide freely
